# Nordhealth Provet Cloud Finance ### About Nordhealth Nordhealth is a leading global SaaS provider redefining digital healthcare, serving thousands of veterinary healthcare and therapy professionals across the world. ### My role in the team I was the lead product designer for the *Provet Cloud Finance* team at **Nordhealth Veterinary.** Addressing data entry validation, evaluating and improving user experience, undertaking a full redesign of the product screens, and expanding the product with new functionality. I worked on significant flow redesigns for services such as appointments, invoices, credit notes, UK insurance, and payments. ### Epic: Credit note workflow improvements #### Goals - Streamline credit note workflow and interface design to reduce complexity, errors, and client confusion - Develop a modular, adaptable global design solution for different markets #### Challenges - Current interface is complex and limited, causing user errors and client frustration - Lack of user knowledge on credit note usage - Varying regulations per country (rounding, credit period, invoicing, negative invoices) - Scoping complex cases (partial credits, refunds, settling other invoices) - Undocumented edge cases and team changes #### My contributions - Conducted user survey, mapped and prioritized pain points - Researched and documented country-specific rules, discussed with country managers - Identified impact on existing workflow - Designed new credit note flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes for testing - Defined scope of first implementation for UK market with PM and tech lead **Example:** To define how one invoice line can be credited, a new compact modal is made available. This modal allows for full or partial return of a product, with an optional restocking. Additionally, a percentage can be credited, and a custom reason can be entered. ![[Ovan-Provet-Credit-New.png|New Credit Note modal]]![[Ovan-Provet-Credit-Modals.png|What to Credit Modal]] ### Epic: Multiple consultations and invoices expansion #### Goals - Consultations and invoices can be created independently - Multiple consultations can be grouped on a single invoice - A single consultation can be included in multiple invoices - Invoice payments can accommodate multiple paying parties - Uninvoiced consultations can be automatically included in new invoices #### Challenges - Create a seamless flow for invoice creation, whether from the consultation page or the invoice page - Provide a clear overview of the data to be included in invoices - Simplify the increasingly complex invoice page - Tailor invoice output for different audiences #### My contributions - Cross-team collaboration with the Consultations team to define scope and identify issues - Drafted various solutions in wireframes, detailed interface designs, and prototypes - Provided feedback and suggestions for the design system expansion - Improved and expanded design system components, product patterns, and proof of concept prototypes **Example:** A racehorse company regularly hosts a visiting veterinarian. The stables often house different horses, each covered by individual insurance policies. The ownership structure can involve multiple parties, complicating the payment process. The schematics below illustrate the complexities of this flow. This scenario groups multiple consultations on a single invoice, each having different patients, with some invoice items covered by different insurances, and there are multiple paying parties. ![[Ovan-Provet-Multiple-Consultations.png|Multiple consultations in invoice]] ![[Ovan-Provet-Multi-Patient-Select.gif|Patient selection in interactive invoice]] > [!info] Information grouping > The various invoice layouts demonstrate different approaches to grouping the invoice lines, such as by consultation, by patient, or by item type (procedures, supplies, etc.). Depending on the intended audience, a different grouping might be necessary: a veterinarian might want to group by consultation, insurance companies by patient, and a customer by type. # Feedback > [!QUOTE] Teppo Haste, Head of Design, Nordhealth > Throughout his tenure, Ovan has provided exceptional design services, actively participated in research activities, and significantly contributed to the enhancement of the Nord Design System, as well as to the overall design processes and practices. > > Notably, he is recognized for his deep understanding of UI intricacies, consistently prioritizing user-centric design and quality craftsmanship. > > Additionally, his adeptness with the latest trends and tools in the field has not only kept him at the forefront of design innovation but has also enabled others to streamline their workflows. # About me > [!info] Contact information > ![[[email protected]|Ovan|50]] > > Olivier (Ovan) Van Biervliet > Digital Product Designer & Analyst > Aalter, Belgium > > [Email](mailto:[email protected]?subject=Portfolio) | [LinkedIn](https://linkedin.com/in/ovanbiervliet) | [Mastodon](https://social.lol/@ovan) | [Glass](https://glass.photo/ovan) | [Bandcamp](https://olstrom.bandcamp.com) | [Instagram](https://instagram.com/ovanbiervliet)
